Bernie’s expertise is in HR and governance. She is former HR Director in Eircom, and is a trained business coach. She has over 30 years experience as a non executive, including as Chair of Eirgrid and Coillte. She is currently a member of the board of National Broadband Ireland, the Senior Post Remuneration Committee and the Judicial Appointment s Commission. Bernie has carried out over 30 assignments with Better Boards in the areas of strategy, governance and coaching
Emer’s expertise is in finance, risk management, regulation and governance. A Chartered Accountant, Emer has worked in practice and industry, and over the last 20 years has served as a Board Chair, Audit and Risk Committee Chair and INED on Boards in the plc, state, private and NGO sectors in a wide variety of industries. Emer has also lectured widely on governance issues. Emer is currently Chair of RSA Insurance Ireland dac, Chair of the Audit Committee on two financial services Boards and is an INED on the Board of Ryanair plc. Emer has provided governance services to over 20 Better Boards clients.
